About Me

"The main thing in life is not to be afraid to be human."
It is part of the human condition to feel stuck at times; We find our way out through help from others, and through developing our inner strengths.
Hi, and welcome to BetterHelp! I am Jennifer Sils, a licensed therapist with 15+ years of experience. I am so glad you are here - it takes a lot of courage to seek out help when you are hurting or feel stuck. I am passionate about helping people work through tough times because I believe that growth and healing are possible at any point along the way; it’s never too late to change, grow and feel better.
I am curious about you, your life, your relationships, your strengths, and your challenges!
I can help you look at the thoughts, feelings, behaviors, habits, and history that lead to feeling bad. I take an eclectic approach to counseling, and my style is warm and interactive.
I grew up in Kentucky, but have been in the West for most of my adult life. I have a Bachelor's degree from the University of Louisville and a Master's degree from Phillips Graduate University in Los Angeles. In my spare time, I like to ride my bike, write, and spend time with my wonderful husband and teenage daughter.

I've never had a more compassionate and patient counselor. She knows how to get answers from me without making me feel judged. She makes me think of angles I hadn't thought of and knowing there is someone always there to listen so I can get stronger and it helps me toward my goal of getting better.

Best counseling experience I've ever had!
