About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Louisiana with over 6 years of experience working as a social worker. My experience includes working with adults 18+ as well as families with members of all ages. I have worked in many settings including Department of Corrections, hospitals, home based, outpatient mental health clinic, and substance abuse treatment clinic. I have background in providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Grief Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, addiction counseling, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness techniques.

I value the dignity and worth of my clients as well as their right to self determination. I view the client as the expert, as they are giving the details of his/her own life. I do not see it as my place to pretend like I know what he/she is going through but instead provide a safe, comfortable space where we can work together as a team to work through problems or emotional needs that may be interrupting his/her daily life. The therapeutic relationship is extremely important in therapy. I will do my best to ensure that my clients feel they are a priority and can be honest and open while working with me. I pledge do the same.

Jessica is supportive and well informed on different therapy programming. She is friendly and reliable. She meets the patient where they are and offers them the options on what they really want to dive into, never pushing the patient too hard. I highly recommend her.
