I earned a Master of Science degree in Counseling from California State University, Fullerton. I have been providing counseling services for 13 years. I am the daughter of immigrants and am mixed cultural background (Chilean and Hungarian "Caucasian'). I work from a perspective of intersectionality and how socio-political history has impacted someone's life in the present and what this means for living in this point in time. It is a holistic view of the person. Over the years I have worked extensively with adults, parents, children, and families. I believe the attachments we form early on in life impact the relationships we have with ourselves and others. Early life experiences also have a huge role to play in how adults cope with current situations in life. Working on family dynamics and conflicts has been a huge area of focus for me in addition to depression and anxiety. I approach therapy by using a combination of brief solution focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and emotionally focused therapy. I tailor my interventions from across approaches to address each client's unique concerns. Working with survivors of domestic violence is another area of focus for me. I am also an active ally for the LGBTQIA+ community and enjoy working with this population. I am well versed in cultural issues also.

I start therapy and then quit, but I’ve stuck with it under Jessica’s care. She is wonderful at what she does, very empathetic and kind. Her advice is always very helpful, but I feel comfortable telling her if something doesn’t work for me, she always has a backup. If you are looking for a good therapist I highly recommend Jessica!

Jessica is the bomb. She listens, she supports, she drops hints, tells me about the simplest things to change in my mindset that I hadn't thought about, and sometimes she even uses that mental 2x4 when I need it. Jessica is always there for me. Through my anxiety, sadness and happiness. She helps me to focus on the positive rather than reflect on what I can’t control.
My counselor helped me work through emotional and physical abuse, an alcoholic husband, a cross country move, a job hunt and new job, and a divorce in the space of about two months. The fact that I can still put together a coherent sentence is a miracle that totally owe to my counselor. Having someone to validate how I was feeling but also point out things I hadn’t even thought of- including ways to light up the amazing things I am achieving- has been the push I needed to make the changes that needed to happen in my life to feel happy and successful again. I feel like myself again for the first time in a really long time. Now I look around and think, everyone should go to MY therapist.
Jessica is an amazing counselor! She helped me get through a difficult breakup and coached me to add structure and balance to my daily routine and my life.
