About Me
My name is Joanne (Jodi) Cowart. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida for 30 years. I have dealt with clients with anxiety, depression, substance use and abuse,
chronic and debilitating illness including cancer, HIV and Organ Transplants. I am published in a medical textbook about AIDS and sit on a County Substance Abuse Board.
I am trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy and Mindfulness. I am well versed in the 12 steps and the recovery community.
I know life can be overwhelming and difficult. Together we can develop the skills needed to navigate life better. Much of life is beyond our control. Understanding and taking action with what we can change and learning to accept what we cannot will be our beginning point.
We live in extraordinary and stressful times. I can get you through them. You will find me warm and insightful with an interactive approach to counseling.
Although my schedule is posted on the website I do have other appointments available that are not listed. If My schedule does not accommodate you please message me and tell me when an appointment is good for you and I will set an appointment with you myself.

Reviews
Jodi has been great to work with. She responds very quickly, and is able to relate to the issues that I am currently experiencing. Although our time working together was brief, I can honestly say that it helped me at an extremely low point in my life
