I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, and have more than 10 years of experience of direct client treatment. I graduated from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs, and have been practicing in Colorado ever since. I have provided Individual, Family and Couples counseling over that time, and have provided help to people suffering from depression, anxiety, relationship issues, gender/sexuality issues, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, grief/loss issues and a wide range of trauma.
I have a very warm, compassionate and laid-back style, and believe that establishing a supportive connection is the cornerstone to creating positive change. I like to laugh, and believe that laughter truly is the best medicine, and incorporate laughter and overall positive energy into my work. I have utilized multiple modalities in my sessions with clients, including Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Client-Centered, Strengths-Based, Solution-Focused and Trauma-Informed care, although I do believe that it is important to be flexible in treatment style, based on what the client needs. I will work with you to identify your goals for treatment, and will work with you to create a treatment plan that will help you to best achieve your goals.
I am looking forward to talking with you, working with you, and helping you along on your journey to health, healing, and self-discovery!
