Dr. Joseph Grochowski, Psychologist
About me
Greetings,
My name is Joseph, and I am a clinical psychologist; I have been a psychologist for more than 25 years. I have worked with people of all ages, from early childhood to octogenarians, and I treat depression, anxiety, stress, and other psychological problems. I have specialized training in anxiety, stress, trauma and abuse, as well as grief and loss. I have worked with men, women, and LGBTQ persons. Additionally, I have a master’s degree in Child Development. I have experience in parenting and family issues, and I have expertise with Adolescents.
I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and we will work together to improve psychological flexibility while working to discern what matters to you in your life and how to take committed action to achieve that life for you. We will be utilizing Mindfulness in our work together.
I believe that each person is unique and has strengths and skills to create a meaningful and satisfying life.
We understand our lives by means of the stories that we tell ourselves-or that others tell us about our stories; we will explore those stories together to learn which stories move our lives forward, and which stories might hold us back.
