Kara Anglin

About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina. I have spent the past ten years working with adolescents, children and families in a variety of contexts. Most of my work has focused on treating depression and anxiety and family relationships.

I utilize a strengths based, solution focused approach. I tend to use Cognitive Behavior Therapy most commonly. I have found that many of our fears and anxieties come from our own thoughts. Changing those thoughts can help change our feelings. While we will be working together on your journey to find new ways of living life, you will determine what your goals are and how you want to proceed. My goal is to create a warm and comfortable environment in order for a therapeutic relationship to grow.

Deciding to make changes for yourself, is a huge leap! Congratulations on taking that first step! I look forward to working with you!

Simply an amazing and insightful counselor and person. Kara has helped me maintain some sanity through the darkest and most difficult part of my life, and I'm truly grateful for her help.
