About Me

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist from the state of California. I have a Master's degree in Psychology with a concentration in Mindfulness and have been counseling for 6 years. I work with clients of all ages with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, OCD, bi-polar, eating disorders, teen issues, young adult identity issues, addiction, parenting and co-parenting issues. I work from a strength-based theory using elements of cognitive behavioral theory. I try to build a strong and trustful relationship with each client and help them understand the connection between our thoughts, feelings and then actions and how these are connected to our behavior. By focusing on mindfulness to help with the build up of negative feelings we can build a stronger relationship with ourselves and others and emphasize positive thinking patterns rather than negative ones.

Working with Kathleen has been great. It’s nice to feel heard and understood. She has a great way of listening but also redirecting the conversation when needed. I appreciate her ability to relate to me.

I appreciate the work we have done and Kathleen’s open ear. She has been very communicative when I needed her throughout the week and even provided me with great exercises along the way.

Great counselor, was in a very low emotional state and Kathleen calmly talked me through a regulating process.
