About Me

I am a licensed counselor from the state of Arizona. I have experience working in many different settings including city social services, in education, an outpatient clinic and within a homeless shelter. I have spent much of my career working with individuals that have ADHD, anxiety, depression, substance abuse and other disorders. I specialize in working with individuals with a past history of trauma or abuse of any kind. I also have experience working with families that have children that display maladaptive behaviors and am specialized to work with families or clients with autism.

My counseling style is centered around helping you complete the goals you set for yourself in a supportive and warm environment that is never judgmental. I am trained to use different therapy options including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trauma therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing and Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA). I use Cognitive Behavioral therapy, person centered therapy, and brief solution focused counseling theories as well.

Therapy is hard work and I will be there with you to push through the difficult times and celebrate with you as you make progress towards your goal. I look forward to working with you and supporting you in finding a better future.

Katie is wonderful at getting back to me in a timely manner, and addresses my needs appropriately. I have recommended her to a friend of mine who is seeking counseling and I personally look forward to continuing sessions with her.
