Keisha Trotman, LMHC
About me
I have over 13 years of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals and families in culturally diverse South Florida. I earned my Master's Degree from the Nova Southeastern University in 2009. In 2012, I became a fully licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida and subsequently completed training to become a Qualified Supervisor. I previously worked with individuals and families involved in child protective services who were either working towards reunification or adjusting to foster care, this included counseling of caregivers and providing parenting. I also have experience counseling with both male and female domestic abuse survivors. Currently I work with individuals and families dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict and adjustment disorders.
I utilize a client- centered approach, which means that I guide you to develop a better understanding of yourself and your power to change your situation. I believe that therapy is not one size fits all and tailor my style to address you as a unique individual. Therapy does take some work and can sometimes be challenging but it is well worth the effort.
I look forward to working with you!
