Welcome to my page. Congrats on taking this step to explore counseling for your emotional well being! My name is Kellie Miller and I was born and raised in the great state of Maine. I continue to live in the northern part of our state, where I am fully licensed. In 2007, I graduated with a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of New England. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) . I have over 14 years of clinical counseling experience both in an outpatient private practice setting and through tele-health.
As a therapist, it is such an honor and privilege to join people on their individual journeys back to themselves. I believe the most important aspect to positive therapeutic outcomes for people is a healthy and warm alliance with their therapist. I put an emphasis on earning trust in order to develop a strong working rapport. My approach is authentic, welcoming, compassionate, empathetic, laid back, and non-judgmental. I am even known to have a sense of humor at times.
You know yourself best and my primary role is to provide a safe space for you in your personal journey to wellness. This is achieved through building on your strengths; understanding your individual goals; providing relevant resources and education as needed; and using evidenced based clinical approaches.
I pull from a variety of evidenced based clinical approaches using the mind, body, and spirt to help with your goal achievement including:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT)
Self Compassion mindfulness and skills training
Internal Family Systems
I have experience working with a diversity ages, populations, and issues including:
Phase of life transitions
Grief and Loss
Healing from break-ups, separation, or divorce
Self confidence/self worth/self esteem
I am available to schedule live video sessions, phone, or live chat through BetterHelp. I check my messages at least twice daily and make every effort to respond within 24 hours.
Best wishes to you on your wellness journey!

I found Kellie to be the most helpful counselor I've had. She listens and is action oriented! I felt supported and she checked in on me mid week to see how my progress was going weekly!
I haven't met with Kellie yet, but already, she's made me feel incredibly supported. She checks in with me frequently, which I've never experienced before. I've been dealing with a lot of particular anxiety lately, which usually makes me feel so alone, but Kellie has already made me feel like there's always someone there when I need support. She's so perceptive and really conveys that she's listening to you and that she wants to be there for you. I can't express how happy I am to have access to her expertise and this platform.
