About Me

Welcome to my page. Congrats on taking this step to explore counseling for your emotional well being! My name is Kellie Miller and I was born and raised in the great state of Maine. I continue to live in the northern part of our state, where I am fully licensed. In 2007, I graduated with a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of New England. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) . I have over 14 years of clinical counseling experience both in an outpatient private practice setting and through tele-health.

As a therapist, it is such an honor and privilege to join people on their individual journeys back to themselves. I believe the most important aspect to positive therapeutic outcomes for people is a healthy and warm alliance with their therapist. I put an emphasis on earning trust in order to develop a strong working rapport. My approach is authentic, welcoming, compassionate, empathetic, laid back, and non-judgmental. I am even known to have a sense of humor at times.

You know yourself best and my primary role is to provide a safe space for you in your personal journey to wellness. This is achieved through building on your strengths; understanding your individual goals; providing relevant resources and education as needed; and using evidenced based clinical approaches.

Kellie is kind, caring, and personable. She makes me feel heard and gives me guidance on things I can do to better myself or get through tough situations. She has outfitted my "toolbox" and helped me learn how to "fill my cup". Thank you Kellie!

Written by E.L. on Sep 13, 2021 after therapy with Kellie for 7 months on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, eating disorders, and self esteem

Kellie is supportive and compassionate in her practice. She listens to me, offers encouragement and advice, and she is always honest with me. I love that she checks in with me frequently to see how my week is going. I often get so overwhelmed during the week that I can’t respond, but even just seeing that she is thinking of me makes me feel so supported. I feel more confident in facing life’s challenges knowing that a knowledgeable and caring professional has my back. Thank you, Kellie!!

I found Kellie to be the most helpful counselor I've had. She listens and is action oriented! I felt supported and she checked in on me mid week to see how my progress was going weekly!
