About Me
Hi, I’m Krista.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California with over eight years of experience providing counseling and mental health care. I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern California. In my personal life, I enjoy swimming, yoga, podcasts and time with my kids. In my professional life, I have worked with a broad range of adults in outpatient settings experiencing a wide variety of life challenges including substance abuse, anxiety, depression, trauma and stress.
My counseling style is centered on compassion and non-judgement. It would be a privilege to work to build a therapeutic rapport with you and listen deeply to your life concerns. When we confide in a trusted outlet, we can reflect and learn more about ourselves and our relationships and choices-- and hopefully, we can work to improve and adopt new and healthier ones by breaking negative patterns.
I tend to favor person-centered and cognitive behavioral approaches to therapy, but I am also open to tailoring my approach to you based on your unique needs and preferences. I also have a lot of experience and training with motivational interviewing. I am also a huge fan of mindfulness exercises and would love to incorporate that into our sessions if you are open to it.
I strongly believe everyone could benefit from counseling. We all deserve to live abundant lives and embody our best selves. It shows true courage to reach out and be willing to access our vulnerability. I’m happy you have taken the first step toward new possibilities. I look forward to working with you!

Krista actively listens and has the best intentions.
Krista has been very supportive and always makes time to listen to my issues, whether or not they're tangential or not always relevant. She gives good advice while also being a good sounding board if you ever need to vent. I appreciate the input she gives, and the support she offers without being too pushy.
Amazing soul...
I have been working with Krista for about 9 months, she’s very compassionate, caring and understanding. I really enjoy working with her.
Krista has an amazing memory for things we have talked about and things I want to work on. She is compassionate and thoughtful. Krista has been my counsellor for just over a year and my life has been unimaginably improved in that time, thanks to her help.
I was diagnosed with depression at a really young age, but, being from a small town, always had very limited options for councilors. The ones that I was able to book appointments with just never clicked with me, and I always hid my emotions around them.
Krista just put me as ease, and somehow I started discussing some really heavy stuff within the first appointment. She never pressures me to share more than I'm comfortable with, but the insightful questions she brings up have really helped me to realize that even some of the deep-rooted issues from my childhood, that I wanted to believe didn't affect me anymore, still affect some of my choices to this day. She encourages me to not hate myself for being me, which is something I really needed to hear xD.
I feel like I'm really making progress with my mental health, for the first time ever if I'm bring honest.
I was so skeptical about online counseling at first, but now I'm so glad I tried it, and was matched with a councilor that I feel so comfortable and safe with ^^
Krista has helped me through some very dark times. She is kind, professional, competent and can help me see my strengths and helps me deal with all the other “stuff.” She is the best therapist I have ever experienced.
I have been working with Krista for a few months now. She has been attentive, supportive and has challenged me to be present with my emotions. I appreciate that she takes the time to check in with me through week.
I like her. She works carefully with me
Krista is so encouraging and accepting. Talking to her really helps me feel like my mental illness and the challenges in my life are manageable. She helps me organize my thoughts and feelings and put them into perspective. She also helps me celebrate the progress that I am making, especially wins that are not as obvious to outside observers. I also like that she sends supportive messages throughout the week.
I was searching and hoping for a counselor that I can relate to . One that can understand me, not judge me and also provide me the tools to keep going. Krista is in a class of her own. Her sensitivity, compassion and support has made an impact in my life bigger than anything I could have done alone.
Krista is incredibly empathic and personal. She’s able to dig into the underlying core beliefs that back challenging issues. She can gently call out negative coping patterns, and she has endless patience.
I haven’t been working with Krista for long, but I already feel better and connected with her than I have with past therapists who I had worked with for months. She is so understanding and nonjudgmental, which means so much to me as someone who strives for perfection and acceptance.
Been with Krista for almost a year now and I can't complain. She has been the most helpful with teaching me the tools to help me get through tough days. The tools and information shared will last a lifetime and so far has truly made me a better person. I would be completely lost if I had not tried BetterHelp..let alone Krista.
Krista has been such a great counselor. She really takes the time to hear what I am saying and always seems to hit the nail right on the head in describing my feelings and understanding where I am at. She has a very keen insight and offers really great perspective, as well as really going in deep to explain why my thoughts go in certain directions. Her help has been incredibly valuable to me. I would recommend her to anyone going through a rough time.
Krista was extremely empathetic and her warm, kind energy instantly calmed me and made me feel better, each time we interacted. I appreciated the many tools she gave me to cope with anxiety, including worksheets and guided meditation exercises. I would recommend her to anyone struggling with a rough patch in a relationship, at work, or anyone going through anxiety or depression.
Krista is such a wonderful counselor! She really takes my needs into consideration, and always gives concise, valuable advice that is kind but also straightforward. The worksheets and resources she sends places everything we talk about into practice and solidifies skills that I can use towards helping myself and improving my mental health.
Krista is kind, compassionate, an exceptional listener, and an astute observer. She creates a safe and non-judgmental environment. The exercises she provides in between session are helpful in provoking insight and always relevant to the work that’s being done. I’ve learned a lot in a brief period and am grateful for Krista’s gentle guidance and professional approach!
Krista is walking me through the anticipatory death of my Mother day to day. She keeps me on track so I don’t completely self destruct. So if you want to know how it is in the here and now I am giving you the real deal.
Krista is awesome. I was nervous coming into this, as it was my first therapeutic experience ever, but she was very welcoming and understood everything I was saying. She's a great listener, and knows how to have a conversation properly flow.
Krista has been really helpful and very productive, shining a light on some insightful observations and offering daily advise and support.
Progress has been more than I could have wished for starting this process.
Very positive outlook too and has some killer advise throwing in some killer home work too to help with the day to day stuff too.
