About me
Hi! My name is Kristen Paradise. I am a licensed provider from Minneapolis, whose approach to treatment is tailored to the client, as each person is unique in their own right, and each person may have a different need in the context of their process of therapy. As all individuals are different, and all people experience this life differently than the next. We cannot assume to know what another person feels, but what we can do, is listen to one another, and be there to give support, care and compassion when it is needed the most. None of us have all the answers in this life, yet, sometimes all we need, is to be heard, to feel understood, and to not feel alone.
I specialize my work with: psychedelic informed/integration, grief and loss, LGBTQ+, anxiety, depression, sex work, veterans, first responders, and trauma.
Outside of Betterhelp, I own and operate a psychedelic assisted psychotherapy practice, in MN. If you are curious about this work, we can also discuss if it may be helpful to your healing.
"What we do not need in the midst of struggle, is shame for being human." - Breanne Brown. This quote has always struck me as one that holds so true to the human experience. When we are shamed for simply who we are, how can we ever learn to be authentically ourselves? My goal as a provider, is to ensure my patients are seen and heard, and to do my best to help them not feel alone in this world.

Kristen has been a rock during a very hard time in my life. I know that I can come to her with anything and even through that, she’ll accept whatever I have to say with no judgment and then proceed accordingly - whether it’s praise, agreement, relating, or by challenging me. It feels completely natural to speak with her - even at length - about the little things, as she can sift through them for the bigger issues at hand. (Or, when there aren’t issues, she seems to genuinely enjoy or appreciate what I have to share!) Hoping to work with Kristen a long time. I look forward to our appointments vs. dreading them as I have in the past.

I am very happy I was matched with Kristen as my therapist. Her energy, outlook, and insight, have already been helpful in the few short weeks I have been in therapy.
Thank you!
