I am a licensed clinical social worker with over six years of experience licensed in both the states of Colorado and California. My specialties include working with people on a range of issues from anxiety to depression, life changes, relationship problems, LGBTQIA, and trauma related events. I also have helped many people who have experienced grief and loss or emotional abuse.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, motivational interviewing, and narrative therapy. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
I started out in a field that I hated.... I analyzed online advertising for 6 years before making the change and obtaining a second Master's degree to pursue to my true passion, which is guiding people to help themselves! This shows that I know what it is like to make major changes and upheavals in my own life. I also suffered some serious physical ailments these past few years, making me uniquely qualified to be in a position of great understanding and compassion towards people who are looking to start over, while also dealing with physical, emotional and mental limitations. I specialize - and work most often in the areas of - relationship issues, anxiety, depression, and grief. I work with people who have lost a loved one to suicide. I have more than six years of experience working with amazing people to achieve positive results, and I hope to be able to help you too!
From 2014, I worked at an inpatient rehabilitation center called Jefferson Hills, which was a Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) for those children/youth ages 5–21. A health and clinical screening can be completed 24/7/365 for any child/youth with a self-identified crisis. Most of the children/youth there were severally mentally ill, suicidal or homicidal. I worked there for about a year and a half, and from there, I worked at a private practice in Parker Colorado, called Kelli Korn Counseling, where I specialized in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I believe in a client-centered approach to therapy, and believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most valuable part of therapy. I love working with adolescents and additionally, I started many groups there that including “Building Self-Confidence,” “The Mother-Daughter Connection,” "Teen Ally Support Group" and “Break the Bullying.”
My goal is to really listen and understand how you are feeling and what you are going through, and then use my expertise in combination with the most up-to-date psychological research available to provide the best available treatment options for YOU! I want to work WITH you to help you meet your goals, improve your relationships, feel better about yourself, and reach your peak!
It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

Lauren is really great about making use of all the tools available to ensure my experience with BetterHelp is a successful one. Lauren has helpful insights and is very encouraging when working with me I am so grateful to have had this experience with Lauren.
Lauren has very helpful in getting me through a rough time. She has always responded promptly, given me helpful ideas and been very non judgemental throughout the process.
I just started using BetterHelp and am so lucky to have been paired with Lauren! She is so understanding and makes me feel so comfortable, I am so glad I decided to try this!
She listens to my needs right now, which no one does outside my husband and some times my colleagues so that's worth its weight in gold!
