I have been licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist since 2004. I have worked with client’s experiencing depression, anxiety, relationships issues, parenting and a wide range of other challenges including grief/loss, trauma, sexual/physical abuse, clients who experience suicidal ideation, domestic violence both offending and non-offending clients.
I use a person-centered approach within the therapeutic relationship. This means I make every effort to meet client’s where they are, help them advocate for themselves acknowledging they are the experts on themselves and can make the positive changes necessary in their lives to reach their full potential. I also use modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectal behavioral therapy and solution focused approach.
I stay current in the field by attending conferences, reading articles from professional resources and reading related blogs.
