About Me

You deserve to be happy! I would be honored to help guide you on your journey to work towards living a more fulfilling and meaningful life. It takes a lot of courage to reach out for help. Together, we will work at a pace that you feel comfortable with to address the issues that you are currently facing. My communication style is always compassionate and non-judgmental.

I have worked as a counselor for over 17 years, and I have been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor for over 10 years. I have been privileged to work with many different individuals, in both on-site and online settings, to address a wide range of issues and concerns. I served as a mental health counselor for 10 years and worked with individuals to address issues such as anxiety, depression, anger management, family/relationship issues, substance abuse and trauma. I also worked as a therapist in the field of substance abuse for 7 years. During that time, I worked as a lead therapist on a national research study on ADHD. I also facilitated group therapy that focused on trauma related issues. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Enhancement Therapy and Mindfulness.

My counseling approach is tailored to fit your individual needs using Solution-Focused techniques. My goal for you is to help provide you relief from any negative symptoms and emotions that you may be experiencing, and to help you gain a better understanding of your situation and possible solutions.

I am happy that you have decided to reach out for help! I am ready to help you start this process, and I look forward to working with you!

Lisa is such a wonderful therapist! In just my first few sessions, I've already noticed a significant decrease in my general anxiety because of the tools and equipping techniques she's taught me. It feels empowering to know how to manage my emotions when they get overwhelming, thanks to what Lisa has taught me! She listens well, empathizes, and continues to dive into the root things and I'm excited to continue working with her.

She has truly helped me on my journey to a better version of me. She absolutely has made sure that we always end our sessions on a positive note and follows up promptly to see how the practices we implement are helping. This past year has been eye opening and she is helping me to process my emotions in a positive way to help cope with stress.

Lisa is really easy to talk with and is very supportive. Chat sessions are easy to schedule and work with. Lisa responds quickly and thoughtfully to messages, never making you feel less or wrong. It’s like chatting with a friend over coffee, without any expectations or extra stress.
