About me

I'm a licensed professional counselor in the state of Oregon. I hold a master’s degree in Marriage, Couples and Family Counseling and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology both from Portland State University. I have over four years of experience working with individuals, couples, families and community groups from different cultures and walks of life.

I see therapy as a journey that ultimately leads to a life my clients desire to live. In your therapy journey with me, you will be the driver; you will decide which direction you want our sessions to go. My role as your passenger is to guide you in your path, speak belief into you when you go through those dark tunnels, and challenge you to not take the exit so quickly when you feel tempted to give up. Rest assured, you are not required to be a “good driver” to begin this journey! I strongly believe that as long as you are willing to develop and grow a positive skill set, you will reach your desired destination.

I see my role as a facilitator of change who encourages, uplifts, empowers and sometimes challenges people to remember their value and purpose in life. I believe that we are all destined for greatness. I believe that we are all worthy and capable of living an incredible life, reaching our highest potential and achieving whatever goals and/or dreams we set our minds to. I believe in our ability to choose faith over fear, gratitude over frustration and love over selfishness.

Outside of my role as a therapist, I am a wife, daughter, sister and mentor to others. I am dedicated to growing and improving myself so that I can better serve people. You may catch me writing in my gratitude journal, repeating positive affirmations, reading a personal development book, listening to a motivational podcast, dancing and sometimes laughing at my own jokes!
