About me

Life is full of challenging experiences … and people! We all need an encouraging mentor to listen and guide us toward our goals. Family and friends may mean well, but unfortunately they usually have their own agenda, criticize without understanding, and offer advice that is best for them- not you. I bet this is happening to you right now. This is just a natural way with untrained people. Let me empower you!

Let’s get you on track to where you want to go. We’ll have fun and maybe share some tears along the way.

Managing your stress, anxiety, and depression is our goal. You may be in a difficult or strained relationship that leaves you drained and even sucks the life out of you. No wonder you are tired!

Just like the hundreds of other clients I have helped to return joy to their lives, I offer 25 years of professional experience.

You can do this! Start right now and sign up for your session with me. We’ll even laugh a little! You need this and don’t want to be stuck in this place, do you? Let’s talk now!

Marie is the best! I look forward to talking to her each session to discuss progress and setbacks. Marie has so much knowledge and talks to me like a friend instead of a therapist. I am challenged to think and try different things and it helps me with me personal growth. Marie has helped me so much and I really appreciate her and all of her experience!

Marie is the sweetest human and my biggest cheerleader by far. I always filled uplifted after talking with her. Marie validates my feelings. She makes me know that what I’m feeling is normal and okay. She sympathizes, shares her life experiences, and I find myself thinking, “What would Marie do?” in different circumstances in my life. I love Marie like family and cannot imagine my life without her.

Marie is an incredible human being. She has been blessed with an amazing talent to sift through peoples thoughts and emotions to get down to the root of issues. She not only listens, but has helped me to organize my thoughts and actions to better understand myself. Her caring and comforting approach is genuine and so appreciated. Marie has a very simplistic approach, that doesn’t overwhelm you and has allowed me to notice the very impactful differences these simple changes can make. Thank you Marie for being a guiding light to this world and to those who may be experiencing a little darkness for a season.

I’m incredibly grateful for the support I received from my therapist, Marie Duncan. From the very beginning, she created a space where I felt comfortable, heard, and truly understood. One thing that was especially important to me was having my faith included as part of the healing process, and Marie was very respectful and supportive in incorporating that into our sessions.
At one point in my journey, I found myself feeling stuck and unsure how to move forward. Marie helped guide me through that place by giving me practical tools and encouragement so that I could start helping myself again. Her approach empowered me rather than making me feel dependent, which meant a lot to me.
Because of her support, I now feel like I have direction, meaningful goals, and a more positive outlook moving forward. I’m thankful for the role she played in helping me grow and regain confidence in my mental health journey. I would highly recommend Marie to anyone looking for a thoughtful, supportive therapist who respects the importance of faith in the healing process.
