About Me
Hello! My name is Mary.
Are there changes you would like to make or difficulties and challenges you want to overcome? Have you lost a loved one, a spouse/partner due to divorce or a break up, a job, or a pet and are finding it hard to move forward? Do you have a chronic or terminal illness and are finding it overwhelming to navigate on your own? Do you suffer from depression, anxiety or a mood disorder? If any of these apply to you, I would consider it a privilege to assist you on your journey to wellness.
Working together, my approach is fluid and open to change based on what works best for you. That said, this is a safe, judgment-free space and I value your feedback. Wherever you are on your journey, I'm willing to meet you there and support you in reaching your desired destination.
I have a master's degree from Nova Southeastern University and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. My experience over the last four years includes working as a grief and bereavement specialist at a hospice care facility, working with children ages 3-18 at a community health organization, working with teens and adults in private practice, and facilitating various support groups. Prior to my work as a therapist, I held various part time jobs while being a mom to my four children. After a diagnosis of breast cancer two years ago, I developed a particular passion for working with clients with chronic and terminal illness.
I utilize a variety of techniques and partner with my clients to assist them with achieving their goals. I have had varied experience in the helping field and I am passionate about working with individuals throughout the therapeutic process. I use an eclectic approach to therapy, using various techniques including person-centered therapy, solution focused therapy, EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), psycho-education, cognitive behavioral therapy, and art and play therapy.
Please feel free to reach out if you have questions or would like to talk more. I definitely understand that finding the right therapist can take time, and I take absolutely no offense if we try this out and you feel like it isn't the right fit. Overall, I value honesty and want you to feel empowered to do what's best for you.

I'm not very good at leaving reviews, but I will say this: if you're thinking about starting therapy, do it. I was hesitant because I studied psychology & thought that I knew how to handle things on my own. Boy was I wrong. As the saying goes, we are our toughest critics. Having someone like Mary on my side has helped me so much. She is supportive, kind, understanding, and she's gives some pretty amazing advice. She has definitely made me see things from a different perspective & she's a great listener when I just need to vent. I'm very happy with my decision & my therapist. So much so, that I have recommended quite a few friends & family to join BetterHelp.
Mary is extremely thoughtful and attentive. I feel like I can always count on her.
Mary is so great! She is so personal and makes me feel so comfortable when I’m talking about personal things. I would recommend her highly!
In just three weeks of having Mary listen and support and encourage me through a difficult time, my self confidence and self assurance has really been boosted. I’m open to hearing if there may be another way for me to do things and it’s been a blessing to know that she validates my concerns and approach in the issue at hand. As a mom who is trying to do the right and best thing for my kids she has been a calm voice in the midst of turmoil.
Mary is easy to work with. She is unassuming but very good at guiding the conversation. I was skeptical about counseling to begin with but Mary removed those concerns in the first 5 minutes. I am happy to be working with her.
Mary is wonderful, I look forward to our sessions each week. She is extremely supportive in a time when I really need the support.
Mary had been a phenomenal guidance during a hard time in my life.
Mary is extremely kind, patient, and sensitive to my needs. She is an incredible listener and by far the best counselor I’ve ever worked with. I am sooo grateful I found her!!
Mary is absolutely wonderful. I came to BetterHelp and matched with Mary, at a time when my world was falling apart around me. Worry, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem seemed to consume my life. I was losing grip on my relationship, and myself. I had completely lost who I was. Mary is SO positive, compassionate, and easy to talk to. She's the most caring therapist I've ever met. She truly cares about her clients, which for me, is a big deal. We share things in common, which makes it easier for her to understand. She helped me gain a more positive outlook on myself and the situations in my life, consistently tells me how proud she is of me, saved my relationship that was hanging by a thread, and to be very honest, she saved my life. I look forward to seeing her each time and gaining her more and more of her insight. I wish I had found her sooner! Thank you so much for all that you've done and continue to do for me, Mary! You are a wonderful therapist, and a beautiful human being.
Mary is wonderfully understanding and talking with her gave me a lot of relief.
