About Me

I am a clinical mental health counselor licensed in Alabama with over 10 years of experience working as a individual and group therapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, mental health diagnoses and addictions. I also helped many people who have experienced physical and emotional trauma and abuse.

My counseling style is warm and compassionate. I believe in everyone having the potential in finding their best life. I believe that happiness comes from within and it is my job to help my clients discover this. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, existentialism, psychodynamic and rational-emotive counseling. I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek help but I am so glad that you've decided to take the first step.

I look forward to working with you!

Mary is wonderful. She listens but is also an excellent moderator and teacher during our conversation. I like that she stops me and makes me clarify or see something differently other than the story I’m telling myself. Completely satisfied!

Wonderful—she is well spoken, educated, and thoughtful in her responses as well as in reaching out if it’s been a few days since we last chatted.

Mary is a smart and caring counselor. She transforms the voice in my head into a forgiving and understanding one. She guides me through insightful solutions by changing my perspective at what I see as a problem. I feel completely free and shameless when talking to her.
I advice Mary to anyone going through some difficult times with their own selves. She will help you find your way back to your true self :)
