I am passionate about helping people deal with ongoing emotional struggles that they just can't seem to get past. Clients that are willing to engage the hard work of personal development by immersing themselves in the therapeutic process are my most rewarding clients with which to work. I am deeply committed to the Client-Centered Therapy approach as developed by Carl Rogers. I am passionate about addressing spiritual issues with clients as well. Finally, as someone with Misophonia, I am sensitive to the needs of those Clients searching for support dealing with this issue in particular.

Matthew is amazing. I was picky when choosing a therapist because I wanted someone openminded but also focused who was going to help me improve myself. Matthew is the 5th therapist I've tried in my life and he's by far the best. He's kind and interested and is helping me learn things I didn't already know about myself.
Matthew has been a big help! He's super easy to talk to and has really been helping me work through my stress and anxiety issues. He's great if you are looking for suggestions on steps to take, or even someone to bounce ideas of your own off of. Would highly recommend!
Working with Matthew has been really beneficial. Just being able to express my concerns or rambling thoughts to someone who listens and can offer insights on how to harness my thoughts or ideas and turn them into something healthy is so important. I value Matthew's reflections and input. Thank you, Matthew!
Talking with Matthew has been very professional, and helped me feel comfortable talking through difficult issues, and starting my counselling journey.
I first spoke to Matthew when I was upset and confused. I’d never really tried counselling before. But felt I needed to do something and to talk to someone outside of my circle and life, as a bit of self care and so as not to lean on or upset those around me. I wasn’t sure counselling would be for me. But it was amazing how saying it out loud, some support and insightful questioning quickly made me feel better and find some perspective. I was surprised, how quickly Matthew paved the way for me to be open and honest, as I usually keep my own counsel. The particular challenge I was facing feels largely at peace now, but I am continuing with Matthew as I believe continuing the conversation may positively influence other parts of my life, my behaviour, productivity and happiness. I’m really grateful to have found this lifeline just when I needed it and recommend Matthew to anyone considering counselling.
Matthew has been a wonderful outlet to me over the past few months, helping me to work through challenging thoughts and expectations, providing a helpful and fresh perspective on everything we've discussed.
He is excellent at identifying the traits of my personality and how they may affect different aspects of my life, but never forces his opinion on me and understands that I may have a different take on things at times.
Overall, it's been very beneficial working with Matthew. I appreciate you lending an empathetic ear.
Matthew is very accomodating and always creates an environment where I feel safe, heard, and encouraged to move forward. He is very punctual, offers 45 minutes and he is fully present. He has great wisdom and I appreciate that he offers Godly wisdom when I invite him to speak into my life. I am working with him for 6 weeks and I definitely recommend him. Thanks!
I have really enjoyed working with Mathew, his approach to therapy has really helped me in moving on with my own grief and depression. He created a safe space for me to share my own thoughts and feelings and guided me to self awareness. I would really like to thank him for all he has done for me. I have thoroughly enjoyed our sessions.
I've felt extremely lucky to have Matthew as my counsellor over the past 2 months. We've had such meaningful, at times joyful discussions, which have been pivotal in developing confidence in my sense of self. I'm so proud of the progress I've made and grateful to have had someone as thoughtful, accepting and compassionate to cheer me on! Now it's time to embrace everything I've learnt, I couldn't recommend him highly enough.
Mathew’s been helping me a lot in moving on from something painful I’ve been lately experiencing.
I always enjoy my sessions with Matthew. I look forward to being able to get into subjects of greater import than myself soon. He is very knowledgeable and I especially like that he is from my home state.
Matthew helped me greatly during a very difficult time and I highly recommend him.
Matthew helped me a lot in conquering my fears and struggles.
Matthew is a very understanding person who takes the time to listen and understand my worries
So far, I’ve really enjoyed working with Matthew. He is able to pinpoint the underlying thoughts and summarizes my thoughts for clarity and understanding but is also aware it could be something else. I realize that much of counseling is how much I am willing to put into so am curious to see how he pushes me forward on my journey.
Matt is very capable of getting to the root of issues quickly and has a kind, assertive and supportive way. I would highly recommend him.
Matthew is excellent.
