I am passionate about helping people deal with ongoing emotional struggles that they just can't seem to get past. Clients that are willing to engage the hard work of personal development by immersing themselves in the therapeutic process are my most rewarding clients with which to work. I am deeply committed to the Client-Centered Therapy approach as developed by Carl Rogers. I am passionate about addressing spiritual issues with clients as well. Finally, as someone with Misophonia, I am sensitive to the needs of those Clients searching for support dealing with this issue in particular.

I have been working with Matthew for 5 months now. He is super helpful, compassionate, wise and very supportive. Matthew is amazing. I was picky when choosing a therapist because I wanted someone openminded but also focused who was going to help me improve myself. I first spoke to Matthew when I was upset and confused. I’d never really tried counselling before. But felt I needed to do something and to talk to someone outside of my circle and life, as a bit of self care and so as not to lean on or upset those around me. I wasn’t sure counselling would be for me. But it was amazing how saying it out loud, some support and insightful questioning quickly made me feel better and find some perspective. I was surprised, how quickly Matthew paved the way for me to be open and honest, as I usually keep my own counsel. The particular challenge I was facing feels largely at peace now, but I am continuing with Matthew as I believe continuing the conversation may positively influence other parts of my life, my behaviour, productivity and happiness. I’m really grateful to have found this lifeline just when I needed it and recommend Matthew to anyone considering counselling.

Matthew has been a wonderful outlet to me over the past few months, helping me to work through challenging thoughts and expectations, providing a helpful and fresh perspective on everything we've discussed.

I have really enjoyed working with Mathew, his approach to therapy has really helped me in moving on with my own grief and depression.
