Hello! My name is Miranda and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over ten years of experience providing therapy services. I have worked in a wide range of therapeutic settings including: outpatient therapy, partial psychiatric hospitalization, day treatment services, and therapeutic foster care in the Oklahoma City metro area. I work with clients affected by depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship challenges.
I received my undergraduate degree and my Master's degree in Social Work from The University of Oklahoma in Norman.
My approach to therapy is client centered: you are the expert on your life and determine the direction and depth of the therapy. Through a strengths-based and solution-focused lens, I draw on multiple treatment modalities to guide clients in identifying strengths and developing treatment plans that accomplish their goals. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I assist clients in exploring relationships between thoughts, feelings and behaviors to aid in discovering dysfunctional thought patterns leading to self-destructive behaviors and beliefs. Using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I support clients through developing skills: mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotion regulation with the goal of moving clients towards a life where they can experience joy and freedom.
Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy reading, baking, painting, and spending time with my family.

I was nervous about doing this. But I also didn’t want to try an office setting because I am a busy person. But right from the start Miranda was there sending me messages and putting my mind at ease that this is ok. It’s nice to know that someone is listening and asks questions just to help you figure things out. No judgments, just help. That’s nice and it feels good.
I love Miranda! She's down to earth and truly cares about my counseling experience and needs! She's helped me in so many ways!!
