About Me

I received my Masters in Counseling from Regis University with a focus in transformative psychology. Discovering and integrating Jungian (Depth) psychology not only into my work as a therapist, but also in my life, inspired me to start my journey of obtaining my PhD from Pacifica Graduate Institute. At Pacifica, I engaged in the Mythological Studies with an Emphasis in Depth Psychology program, which allows me to further integrate Jungian psychology with my work with clients.

My passion is working with individuals to help them meet the challenges they may be experiencing such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, anger management, addiction, self-esteem issues or perhaps spiritual emptiness. One of my goals is to shed light on the issues that you are currently experiencing, noticing the internal roots of conflict, and finding ways to make meaningful and purposeful shifts in your life. My treatment approach is integrative, and following an assessment of the individual needs of my client determines which modalities I utilize.

My areas of interest include working with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, substance abuse, trauma/abuse, parent/child communication issues, behavioral problems, and spiritual issues. I also have training in evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

I moved to Wisconsin a couple of years ago with my husband and our Ragdoll cat, whom we love! My husband and I are huge advocates for animal rescue as well as holistic treatment/care for animals. Besides spending time with my family, there is nothing I enjoy more than cuddling up with a good book and listening to some music!

I like how she never comes across as condescending.

I am finding Monica to be very responsive and understanding of my situation and my problems, and she is very empathetic and professional about how she deals with them.

Just knowing that Monica has been there at all hours has been very comforting. I’m very very thankful.
