Natalie May

About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider in Oklahoma and have been in the Mental Health field since 2013.
I specialize in working with teens and adults combining multiple evidence based practices to provide support in areas such as anxiety, PTSD, phobias, chronic pain/illness, emotional regulation, anger management, family structure and support, substance abuse, LGBTQ+, trauma, life skills, coping skills, weight management, diet planning and co-dependency. I incorporate mindfulness into my practice which teaches impulse control, emotional regulation, confidence and self-awareness. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy challenges cognitive distortions while improving awareness of how thoughts and behaviors are connected. Exposure therapy teaches how to cope with anxiety, phobias and panic disorders. Integration of nutrition and other holistic approaches complete a well rounded mind and body.

I received my first degree in Dietetics with a focus in Culinary Arts from Oklahoma State University afterwards working at the VA Hospital specializing in diet planning. I received my second degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Rogers State University where I focused on Human Development and Juvenile Delinquency. I received my Masters degree from the University of Oklahoma in Social Work focusing on Anxiety, Trauma and PTSD. I am a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider and am certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the Teen Addiction Survey, Wrap Around Services, Neuroscience in the treatment of anxiety, worry and panic disorders and am working towards a certification in EMDR.
