About me

I am licensed in Virginia with 5 years of professional counseling experience working with teens, adults, couples, and families. Some of the areas in which I have supported clients include managing symptoms of stress and anxiety, depression, family conflicts, increasing motivation, supporting those making changes & transitions in life, improving self-esteem, and confidence. Each person has an inner knowing of their needs and we will build upon that wisdom & strength. Our work together will contribute to your current foundation of knowledge with attention to elements such as wellness, coping skills, and mindfulness. The approach is integrative; it takes into consideration all parts contributing to the self - mind, body, & spirit while targeting your specific needs.

I collaborate with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Together we will work to identify and build upon your inner wisdom and the areas of success in your life. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.

I look forward to working with you!

Nicole has been a breath of fresh air. She offers meaningful insights, asks good questions, isn’t afraid to challenge me, and does a fantastic job of providing me with additional worksheets and other materials to practice or further explore the things we discuss. Nicole has a wide knowledge base of varying therapeutic techniques which has also been very helpful for pivoting to meet my needs during a session.

I have been struggling with depression and anxiety after getting out of an abusive relationship. Nicole has been such amazing with helping me understand what I'm going through and feeling, validating that what I'm feeling is normal and providing a lot of good tools to help cope in situations that I've normally tried to avoid. I know I still have a long way to go but she has been such a great help on this journey. Thank you Nicole!

Nicole is an incredibly insightful professional with a number of qualities that make her an effective therapist and counselor. In addition to her professional credentials, she has a great variety of relevant life experience, which is very comforting and allows her to empathize and relate to almost anything you describe (despite how foreign or unique it might seem). She is very attentive and displays genuine interest in your journey, and also strives to get to know you better after each session. Nicole is very approachable, and immediately puts you at ease. When it comes to challenging topics, she moves at your pace, and masterfully balances providing support, education, and reflection, while gently guiding you to important realizations or conclusions.

I always leave our sessions feeling lighter, more positive, and happier. I am grateful to Nicole for her invaluable help in my journey so far, and would highly recommend her to anyone seeking support.

I accidentally picked "strongly disagree" to question 2, I believe - that was meant to be strongly agree. No way to go back to it.
With regards to Nicole, she has suggested couples counseling, which means we need to switch to someone else - our move doesn't reflect on her, just on what my EAP offers.
