Nicole Lamberth

About Me

Hello!! My name is Nicole, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Psychology and my Masters in Science in Counseling Education from California State University, Sacramento. I have experience working with young children, adolescents, parents, couples, and adults. I began my counseling career working with adult men and women struggling with dual diagnoses (substance abuse and mental health) and offered individual, family, and group therapy. I transitioned from working with adults to working with children and families offering individual treatment for depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD symptoms, PTSD symptoms stemming from trauma, and anger and stress management. I also offered parenting workshops and support groups for parents coping with children with mental health and special needs. In addition, I also offered group therapy to children that focused on developing healthy relationships and social skills. Lastly, I have worked the last couple of years at inpatient psychiatric facilities offering individuals (adults and children) with crisis services including assessment, diagnosis, individual/family/group therapy, and substance abuse group therapy.

I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which is more of a goal-oriented treatment approach that tends to be more hands on and collaborative. My job is to help you be successful at targeting any problems that may be impacting you from reaching your goals. I believe you are in control of your life but sometimes we need assistance in regaining control, navigating problems, and resolving conflict. I look forward to helping you and working together.

Nicole helped me more in the first few weeks than 2 months with another therapist. She has helped me break cycles of negative self talk, helped motivate me and helped me achieve my goals. She has also helped me find what stops me from losing weight- because I was stopping myself. Nicole has helped me so much. If you have OCD, anxiety and depression like me, Nicole is your best bet!
