I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with over eight years of experience. I received my bachelor’s degree in social work, and Masters degree in Clinical Social Work from Saint Leo University. In addition, I have made it a priority to obtain several post graduate certifications in order to be able to provide my patients with the most current evidence based treatments. I have extensive experience working as a Psychotherapist in a private psychiatric practice, a clinical director, school-based prevention programs, judicial programs, and substance abuse. I have had the opportunity to supervise both undergraduate and graduate level interns, and hold a certification as a Qualified Supervisor. In addition to my clinical experience I have also worked with organizations to gain DCF, and Joint Commission licensure by developing policy, procedure's, and program curriculum's. My experience has led me to adapt the philosophy that a "one size fits all" treatment approach is counterproductive to the therapeutic experience. I prefer to use a variety of evidence-based modalities from ACT, EMDR, DBT, Psycho-education, Cognitive Behavioral, Solution Focused, Trauma based therapies and Short-term Problem Solving. I tend to take a strengths-based approach with patients, which is diverse, comprehensive and driven by the individual needs of the patient. My treatment intent is to empower my patients to thrive.
