I am a licensed professional clinical counselor in Ohio for the past thirty years. I have provided therapy services to individuals (child, teen, adult), couples, families and groups across a variety of settings that have included community mental health centers, residential centers and private practices.
I have come to learn to trust a client to know what is working for them and what they are tripping over. The relationship we develop allows the collaboration and the eventual success of goals. My training has given me the skills to address symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress, mood disorders, relationship concerns and trauma.
My specialization was in the wholistic treatment of survivors of abuse as well as offenders, across all ages which I provided therapy, trainings and consultation. I choose to integrate orientations of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Holistic or Integrative Therapy within a Humanistic approach. This translates to the importance of identifying our thoughts, emotions and behaviors to better catch our self defeating themes. The process to do this involves utilizing exercises that tap into our intellectual, emotional and spiritual make up to hear our entire self to create actions of change.
