About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 30 years experience in a wide array of issues. I am licensed in four states currently. I can help with any issues ranging from dealing with severe, chronic mental illness to adjustment issues that are temporary. I have a liberal stance and believe everyone should be given equal opportunities for advancement and betterment of self. I also believe that counseling should be a safe space to express oneself and share thoughts and feelings.

I provide a client centered focus that addresses the current presenting issues without judgement. My focus is on the individual, which sometimes includes help in navigating the environment surrounding them. I have worked with clients with relationship issues, domestic violence issues, substance abuse issues, depression, anxiety, caregiver stress, and codependency issues.

I would like to introduce myself a bit more and explain my treatment style. I have worked more than 30 years as a therapist and advocate. I have experience ranging from forensics to substance abuse to major mental illnesses. I have worked on inpatient psychiatric units, skilled nursing facilities, rehab centers and IOPs, not to mention private practice and outpatient mental health centers. I am licensed in 5 states and have always been in good standing with the social work boards. I am certified to provide supervision for licensure in several states also.

I realize that beginning therapy and continuing therapy can be difficult. It takes courage and perseverance to succeed in making the needed changes without our lives to find the happiness we all seek and to prevent our pasts from ruining our future happiness and advancement.

With me as your therapist, I would like to help guide you through the changes and help you with whatever the issues are that seem to be holding you back from finding your true contentment. I practice a nonjudgmental model and maintain the strictest of confidences to ensure that you feel safe and supported in this process.

Together we can achieve high goals and watch the obstacles that are holding you back fade away and burst like bubbles.

Peggy listens and is attentive when I need her. Then when I need space, she lets me have it, but she will gently remind me that she is there for me. She makes me feel understood.

Peggy not only listens but also provides you with tools to turn your situation around. She sends messages containing much needed advice that makes it apparent that she is listening. I have only been seeing her for a short time now, but I’ve noticed a change in my life already.
