I am a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in the states of Oregon and California. For over 6 years I have worked with clients struggling with a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, self-esteem/self confidence, and relational issues. I have worked with men struggling with social anxiety, isolation. I also have experience working with people in their Odyssey Years (college through career establishment) in managing the transition and their journey finding identity and success. My practice includes both couples and individuals.
My therapy style is genuine and understanding. It is essential that everyone is treated with compassion and acceptance. I maintain a non-judgmental position to foster an environment for self discovery and change. My approach combines elements of Cognitive-Behavioral, Person Centered, and Solution Focused Therapy. As a stay-at-home father I understand the difficulties of accessibility for counseling. Although rewarding, it can also be an isolating experience. Stay at home parents have limited time available for personal, physical, and mental health. However, together we will identify your goals to meet your needs and relieve personal pain.
In Therapy you will receive acknowledgement for your work and growth. I will be your partner in your personal development and bear witness to your unique set of challenges. Together we will find solutions that fit your life and help you feel successful. I offer connection for those who could use it and direction for those need it. Let's get started!
- Stress, Anxiety

I also have experience in Addictions, Family conflicts, Trauma and abuse, Grief, Intimacy-related issues, Parenting issues, Anger management

I've been counseling with Perry for over 6 months. Out of all of my previous counseling experiences over the past 8 years- he has been the best, indeed working with him on Betterhelp has surpassed my expectations by far- I've even recommended him to my friends and family.
I was unsure about telehealth- I've tried other counselors on here. Working with Perry has been a step above- he's very natural, relatable, calming, and assuring. Pleasant sense of humor too. With him it's like you have a good friend on your side, a life coach in your pocket. He'll listen, he won't judge, and he's especially helpful in being the reverse devil's advocate to negative thinking. Definitely helpful if you struggle with low self self esteem and worrying.
He helped me with transitioning to normal life after treatment for addiction, combatting insecurity, and making good decisions for my future. When I started - I didn't know how I'd make it much longer, with his help I am now stabilized, healthy, and slowly getting to a great place where I'm now focused on being my best self.
I highly recommend him. Especially if you haven't felt comfortable with getting the right vibe from your counselor. It's absolutely critical that you do. He's the one!
Highly recommend him
Let me start by saying I have never been successful with therapy. I did try BetterHelp once before and it did not work out for me. I decided to give it another try in the midst of some total life insanity, and was so lucky to have been matched with Perry.
Perry listens and doesn't judge. He was able to help me see and address so many of the weaknesses I wasn't even aware were causing me problems in my life. I came to him with specific concerns regarding my relationship, and left a much stronger, more self aware person. Re-reading this, I think it may sound like he was hard on me, but quite the opposite. He stood up for me when I wasn't doing a great job of standing up for myself.
Thank you Perry! You made a huge difference for me in navigating one of the most difficult times of my life. <3
Perry is excellent. Very intelligent and caring. A voice of clear reason. Very helpful. Highly recommend.
