About Me

Ideally, I want to create an environment that allows my clients to find their way, learn about themselves, and grow to be leaders in their treatment. The approaches I use give clients the ability to take the initiative, evaluate and then make a plan of action. Making the decision to enter into therapy is a challenge in itself. But in the end I want to meet the client where they are at and go from there. Where applicable I use Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, play therapy, career/coaching and other modalities in practice.

My approach is Eclectic based in Reality Therapy in a Person-Centered format. It takes the belief that people are capable of change through self-direction and understanding in a supportive environment. The Reality Therapy allows the patient to figure out what they want.

I have experience in group, individual, family therapy and the LGBT community. I have worked with all age groups from youth (as young as 4) and beyond, but a lot of my experience has been in an addictions, dual-diagnosis and trauma work.

Although we haven’t had a formal session yet she seems to understand my problems and is very nice and attentive. That’s refreshing.

She’s a really good therapist. She is very understanding of my situations and my struggles and gives good advice on what to do when I’m stressed. She is also really good at mellowing me out when I get overwhelmed. 10/10
