Rachel Gloer

About Me

Hello and welcome! My name is Rachel Gloer, and I am a licensed clinical social worker in California with over 10 years of experience working as a psychotherapist. I have worked in both medical and outpatient mental health settings providing therapy. This has allowed me to gain a wide range of experience with clients, including depression, anxiety, grief and bereavement, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges and other transitional concerns. I also have a lot of experience working with people who have suffered physical trauma or emotional abuse.

Clients have said that my counseling style is very cooperative, interactive and supportive. I believe that you are the expert of your life, and it is my role to offer suggestions, tools and encouragement. It is very common to have times when you feel out of control, confused, sad or scared. I would love nothing more than to spend time with you talking about your concerns and finding ways to help.

I believe in treating each person with respect, sensitivity and compassion. My approach combines solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic and narrative therapy techniques. Ultimately, it’s about figuring out what works best for you. I will adjust my approach to best meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to take the first steps towards change, but it can lead to a more fulfilling and happier life. I am here to help and support in any way I can. I have a very flexible schedule and can be available evenings and weekends.

Congratulations on having already taken one of the hardest steps. You are that much closer to your goal, and I hope we can work together to help you reach it.

Rachel is one of the best counselors I have ever worked with. She is kind and encouraging, she’s not judgmental and is incredibly understanding. She’s also not afraid to tell me what I need to hear, even if it’s a difficult conversation. Without Rachel, I would have been stuck in the rut that I had been in for years. She is truly a blessing.

Rachel Gloer knows me, and it didn't take long for her to figure me out. As long as I am willing to take charge of my life with good works in action she was a god send. She helped me stretch further in life and with ease. No need to complicate this is is a 10 and know that. Thank you is my review. thank you Rachel ... thank you.

She has been really helpful in helping me figure out what is going on in my head and how to deal with everything. She is talking to me about everything and what causes me to feel the way I do. I enjoy talking to her.

Rachel is extremely knowledgeable and honestly is just a fantastic therapist. I can’t believe my good luck finding her with better help. She is responsive, empathetic, and professional and has helped me already in the short time we have been working together. I also really like the ability to video chat for our sessions. I can spend exactly the session time on therapy with no down time for a commute. What a great service.

Rachel is great at helping me identify what I would like to work on and providing tools and insights into what I can do to make my experience better. I really appreciate her work.
