Rebecca Richards, LPC
About me
I am so glad you are here, exploring options for taking care of yourself. I specialize in treating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, adjustment, and personality disorders. I draw from Dialectic Behavior, Rational Emotive, and Solution Focused therapies. I believe in a multifaceted approach that is person based: everyone is unique and should be supported in a way that makes sense for them and their circumstances. I have spent a great deal of my career supporting those seeking recovery from substance use disorders and treating the underlying issues that lead to its development. I believe that open and honest dialogue in the client/therapist relationship supports goal identification, identifies barriers to achieving those goals, and drives excellent service delivery.
I am a Master’s prepared Licensed Professional Counselor (WI) and Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (WI) , with an additional Certification in Dialectic Behavior Therapy. Over the past decade, I have performed clinical duties in a variety of settings, spanning the continuum of care to include AODA residential treatment services, hospital-based programming for mental health, as well as day treatment, intensive outpatient, and traditional outpatient care for both. In addition to psychotherapy services, I have taught Crisis Prevention and Trauma Informed Care in the clinical setting to colleagues. I have also been honored to receive The Chamber's Future 15 award, and the Admiral Award of my locally based mental health Clubhouse.
I look forward to the opportunity to help you explore solutions and skills that will assist you getting closer to where you'd like to be -and how you'd like to feel.

Rebecca is realistic, provides tools to try outside of our sessions, and doesn’t try to diagnose but rather helps you find your own inner confidence
