About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Alabama who has spent 14 years working with individuals with a variety of mental illness diagnoses including psychotic disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship and family issues, and co-occurring conditions in the community mental health setting. I received my Master's Degree from Troy University in 2011 and have been working at the same company full-time since then. I have been married for 27 years, and we have 3 boys (25, 22, and 10). I like for our interactions to be conversational and will use reality therapy, cognitive behavioral approaches, and mindfulness. In this space, you are free to be who you are and talk about what is important to you. There will be no judgment, and I urge you to be real and talk about whatever you want. You are taking the first steps to a better life, and I am glad to be here for it.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Ruth Racz. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Ruth has been very present with listening to my gripes, complaints and concerns. She has shared several pieces of advice that I have found useful thus far.

Ruth is such an amazing, supportive therapist. Her style is very laid back and casual (at least in our conversations) and that is just what I love. I don’t constantly feel like I need to solve a problem, but rather I can just share what’s on my mind and know that she’ll give me support. With that being said, though, Ruth can get down to business when need be and help me realize what may be going on and how to change it and what steps I can take to see improvement.

Ruth is such a lovely therapist! I feel very comfortable opening up to her. She is easy to talk to and creates an environment where it feels like you’re talking to a friend.
