My Personality: Bold, honest, empathetic, compassionate, articulate, and nerdy.
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) living in the Milwaukee, WI area. I have been working with individuals of all ages since 2014 and adults with substance use and serious and persistent mental health issues since 2017. I’ve been working as a work trainer/educator since 2019. Most of the folks I work with have been dealing with issues for a long time and either starting to want to change or see that they need a change to happen to be where and who they want to be! Nothing is too big or too small to be handled together – trauma, abuse, toxic relationships, harmful coping skills, conflicts at work, self-doubt/growth, and personality disorders. My job is to help you explore where these issues are coming from, what has worked in the past, and what will help you become a new “whole” person in the future.
In therapy, I use an eclectic style of different approaches – motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), Brainspotting (a form of EMDR), behavior modification, solution and problem focused, psychoeducation, and more. I use what works best for you. We start where you are at and go into the uncomfortable when equipped with the tools to tackle the journey.
I look forward to the journey with you and honored that you selected me to help you start/continue.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Sara Aranda. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Sara has been a wonderful resource for support, encouragement and direction while I negotiate my mental health. She's a wonderful conversationalist and is able to isolate my core concerns within my anecdotes which she then provides more resources and material to help me better understand myself outside of our sessions.
I really appreciate Sara, she us very personable and makes me feel comfortable. I am very happy I got matched with her!
I have been really impressed with Sara's insightfulness. I have been in mental health treatment for over 20 years, and Sara was able to recognize diagnoses that had been missed by all of my previous providers. I've been able to confirm some of these diagnoses with additional evaluations with other providers and it has helped broaden my understanding of how I function and learn best.
Sara is great, easy to talk to and can fully engage in any conversation!
Sara an amazing therapist who is highly skilled & very attentive to my needs . She offers a variety of tools and is also very supportive.
Sara’s sessions are a great source of support for me. Right from the beginning I felt she cared to understand me & how I see the world. She is a great accountability partner in my mental health journey, and offers tools to help me manage my anxiety in between sessions, too.
I joined Better Help in an effort to get my anxiety under control, work through trauma and gain back my life. I’m so glad I did! While I’m still a work in progress, the progress and growth I’ve seen in myself has been outstanding in just the last couple of months. Sara is extremely understanding, listens so well and has offered tools to help improve my issues! It’s been such a great experience and I’m so looking forward to working with Sara for time to come. You definitely have to put the work in yourself, but having somebody who checks in, provides knowledge and tools and just listens certainly makes the journey that much easier.
She is amazing! Very compassionate, smart, and helpful.!
She’s helped change my life so much in the short amount of time we’ve been working together.
