I am a licensed professional clinical counselor who graduated with a Master's Degree from John Carroll University. Since graduating, I have worked with a wide variety of populations in many settings including college level counseling, elder population, in a school setting, the emergency department, with those who are grieving, and at an outpatient office. I have experience working with individuals, families, couples, and groups. I enjoy working most with those who are struggling with anxiety, depression, life adjustments and transitions, grief, and relationship difficulties. In addition, I have received training through the Chopra Center in California in meditation, have received attunement in Reiki II, and Mind Body Spirit Practitioner Certification with Sunny Dawn Johnston which helps me to incorporate alternative healing methods into therapeutic sessions.
Since my time working with individuals, I have come to find that the most important aspect of counseling is "walking alongside" and "being with" the person. I can definitely help give you direction and the tools needed to make changes in your life, however, I feel a big part of my job is to be a support, advocate, and guide as you make the step into creating changes in your own life. As you step into change then your circumstances, relationships, and symptoms will begin to shift in a positive direction as well. As human beings, we have everything inside of us to live healthy, happy, and fulfilling lives. Sometimes it takes "cleaning out" the old debris, the past conditioning, increased knowledge and understanding of our symptoms, and looking at the negative thoughts and emotions that have clouded our true self.

Very thoughtful responses and realistic and approachable advice. I never had to wait more than a day for a response, unless she had let me know ahead of time she was unavailable. She is a great counselor to just chat with and find help with everyday problems.
