I've been matched with Shannon about a year ago. It was a great pleasure to talk to her and get her advices: I really needed that. I became more calm, less anxious and more positive. I'm trying to quit and try to find out how I feel in the world out there without this very valuable and constant support: let's see.

If I'd ever need to come back to counseling again I'll look for Shannon. She's been kind but firm, empathic and had a very deep understanding on what was going on in my mind. When I felt nobody would told me were I was at at this point of my life, she eventually did, so that was crucial.

Just trust her!

I love my counselor and how easy it is to do my counseling. If I had to actually go to an office once a week, I just wouldn’t do it. I am so blessed to have such an amazing counselor in my life to get me through the really rough times. I might not be here right now if it wasn’t for better help.

I’m really happy with my therapy. If I compare myself now to when I started, mental health-wise, I’m in a much better state of mind. I didn’t really notice it at first, since we’ve done “baby steps” and since we recently started making a lot more headway, but looking back, I’ve come a long way. I’m really thankful for Shannon. She’s very patient and good at keeping me on track. I’m very glad she became my therapist. She’s helped me a lot and has helped me help myself.

Written by P.A. on Oct 13, 2017 after counseling with Shannon for 1 week on issues concerning stress, anxiety, relationship, trauma and abuse, and self esteem

In what we both knew would be an extremely compressed time frame, Shannon pulled me out of the ditch and put me back on the right road regarding my potentially disastrous domestic abuse situation.

Her approach was neither judgemental or overly sympathetic. She told me in no uncertain terms that if I chose to remain in this environment I should not be shocked by anything that happens.

She quickly familiarized me with conquering mental blocks caused by automatic thoughts and negative thinking, as well as overcoming fear through connecting to your inner voice.

I would not hesitate to recommend Shannon and plan to continue with her in the near future.

Shannon lends an ear (or rather in this case, an eye) for me to tell her all my thoughts, experiences and feelings. At first I was kind of unsure because she wasn't giving me a lot of feedback and advice, but rather asking more questions. I think that's her approach; to get you to really dig deep and get it all out, and then she sorts through it and in my case, just getting it all out there and off my chest has really helped. I'm looking forward to future correspondence and hopefully some more insights. Thank you, Shannon!
