Thank you for visiting my page! My name is Stephanie and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I completed my psychology and family studies degree at Arizona State University and went on to get my Masters in Counseling degree at Arizona State University. I have worked in community mental health for the duration of my time as a counselor with primarily an adult population (18 and older). Areas that I have experience in are trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief and loss, and personality disorders. I utilize cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and talk therapy. In other words, I like to help clients learn skills to help with their problems expressing emotion, difficulty with relationships, basic mindfulness skills, and ways to cope with stressful situations. I also like to help clients take control of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and find more effective ways to cope with painful feelings and situations. I am also skilled at family therapy and am open to exploring family dynamics with clients. Personal boundaries and communication are areas that I also enjoy exploring with clients as well.
I know that each person and situation is unique, and therefore I try to meet a person where they are at and help them with the problem at hand. Sometimes it can be helpful just to share your situation with someone who will listen and provide validation and feedback. I am here to help you with your needs. If you want to learn skills to help, I have those, but if you just want someone to talk to, I can offer that too. My mission is to help you in whatever capacity you may need right now and to go from there.

Stephanie has been really great in giving me alternative perspectives to my concerns and offering coping mechanisms in resolving them on my own going forward. I really enjoy how our conversations flow and appreciate her insight and attention.
