About Me

Hello and Welcome.

First, I must say congratulations to you! It takes a lot of courage to seek help, and often times when we do, it's the beginning of a growth and healing process!

My name is Symone, I am a licensed clinical social worker and 200-Registered Yoga Teacher in Florida. I received my Masters Degree in Social Work from Florida International University in 2014. I have been practicing therapy for 6 years in various settings, with diverse populations. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, women's issues, relationship issues, LGBTQ+, life transitions, family problems, chronic illness, career challenges, bipolar and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My therapeutic approach focuses on integrating evidence-based therapeutic approaches (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing , and Solution-Focused Therapy), as well as alternative practices, such as mindfulness and meditation to achieve a holistic level of wellness. I am here to collaborate with you and together we will work to reach your goals.

My goal is to create a warm and supportive environment that is safe and welcoming. Simply put, life can be hard! Let me empower you to not only face the challenges, but to overcome them with great success!

I look forward to working with you!

I have never talked to anyone so freely as with Symone. She gives me so much space and provides an environment where I feel safe and willing to talk about anything.

This is my first experience with counseling and Symone has made me feel comfortable and confident. She’s personable, knowledgeable, and she does a nice job of staying in contact, which pushes me to keep thinking about the work I’m doing on myself. She’s been great to work with overall!

Symone is great! I always feel more centered, relaxed, and empowered after talking with her. She’s very empathetic and has lots of suggestions for coping strategies and other resources. We’ve only been working together for a few weeks but I feel so much stronger already. Thanks Symone!
