About me
Hello, my name is Talona (rhymes with iguana) Talbot and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been licensed and practicing since 2006. My approach to working with people is built on open-minded compassion, recognizing that everyone has value and is doing the best they can in the moment. I will offer you empathy and understanding, and will hold you accountable as needed. Ultimately it is you who has the power to improve your life.
I have a great deal of experience working with individuals and families who are involved in the criminal justice system. I have also worked with people suffering from trauma and abuse, substance abuse issues, anxiety, and various forms of relationship challenges. I have experience working with LGBTQ concerns as well.
I work from a solution-focused approach, with some CBT and systems theory approaches included. I will work with you to identify the best outcomes for your life through our interactions. I will help you learn how to approach life, and the challenges it can bring, in ways that leave you feeling empowered and able to move through and move forward even after your therapy ends.

Talona is an amazing therapist. I’ve been through probably about 15+ therapists that I believe failed to offer insight profound enough to really change my perspective on life. Talona has given incredible insight I haven’t found anywhere in the past 10 years of therapy. Awesome! 11/10

Talona is an amazing therapist! I have been working with her for 4 months and she has helped me so much. She is such a good listener, gives great ideas and insights, asks the questions that help untangle the false beliefs and face the anxiety. I would highly recommend her and I feel super lucky to work with her.

She is one of the best therapists i’ve ever had. She’s personable, funny, and so helpful. She helped me in so many aspects of my life in a short period of time. Could not recommend her enough.

Talona is a very competent therapist. She prompts introspection and really strives to understand me. She knows when to offer advice and when to listen, which is important to me because I need guidance just as much as somebody to listen and empathize. I'm optimistic that she's going to help me change a lot of thought patterns and habits and help me live a happier life!
