I am well-versed in treating a wide range of mental health concerns; however, my passion is working with individuals who have endured trauma. When human beings experience trauma or severe life stressors, it is not uncommon for their lives to unravel. I aspire to bring healing to people who have been through traumatic or stressful experiences. My goal is to help my clients, who include adolescents, adults, couples and families, to find healthy perceptions of themselves, to build resilience, and to strengthen their relationships so they can know themselves as peaceful, complete, and safe.
I know that no single approach is right for everyone. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy and mental wellness. Therefore, I have been trained in a range of modalities to include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Regulation, as well as several brief interventions.
My educational background includes a Doctor in Clinical Psychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology in Atlanta. I have a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and a B.S. in Clinical Laboratory Science from the University of Iowa. I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Alabama and Georgia.
I look forward to working with you!

The best counselor I’ve ever had.
Tanja Ketisch has been a huge part of my recovery, helping me climb out of what was definitely one of the darkest times of my life. She's kind and genuinely concerned, but is also able to mix her very personable approach with a well-paced, directed sense of method and expertise. We were able to identify problems and find actionable processes to manage them in a pretty short amount of time and the environment has been warm and friendly, not clinical and impersonal. I would recommend her to anyone.
I feel like Dr. Ketisch really listens to what is bothering me, and has multiple ways for me to work through it.
Dr. Ketisch is awesome. She listens and she is on target with her suggestions. I have been through an extraordinarily difficult circumstance in my life. Dr. Ketisch knows exactly what I need even before I do. I have recommended her to many of my friends. She has been my greatest asset over the past six months. Excellent counselor who knows her stuff.
Dr. Ketisch has really listened to me and my concerns. I've really been impressed with the way she has been able to look at me as person and see how she can help me.
Dr. Ketisch is the most understanding person I've ever discussed with! She pinpoints every aspect of your life that needs work on to feel more confident, self-loved, and self-belief. She has motivated and inspired me to keep pushing and discover my true self! Thanks Dr. Ketisch for everything!
Dr. Ketisch is very knowledgable and respectful of my needs and beliefs. It's a relief to have someone to talk to who can help.
Dr. Ketisch is great! She has helped me understand my feelings and the reasons behind them. In very little time I've been able to identify the areas where I need to work on. I absolutely recommend her.
