About me

Hello! My name is Thomas Kaufman, and I am an LPC working out of Madison, WI. For the past 20 years, I have worked with families, couples, adults, and adolescents. Using cognitive-behavioral theory with narrative techniques, I help empower clients to explore areas within their lives that present challenges and inhibit change, and assist them with finding solutions that will work for them. However, I also believe that the therapeutic relationship is a vital component within any program, which means that I believe that any work needs to be collaborative between myself and my clients. I am certified to deliver trauma-focused treatments as well as providing services to help manage stress and anxiety.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Thomas Kaufman. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I spent almost my entire childhood and adult life trying to find a therapist that I liked & actually listened to my concerns - I've gone through many therapists here in Wisconsin. That all changed when I met with Dr. Kaufman six years ago. He truly cares for and listens to his patients; I always recommend him to my friends and family because he's just that good. I hope to continue my sessions with him in the future.
