About Me

Hello, and welcome to Betterhelp! Congratulations on wanting to get support! I know how hard it can be to tell someone about how you’re feeling, so I also want to congratulate you on taking this step. In today's world, we are all trying to juggle a lot, and, understandably, you have a variety of thoughts and emotions. I am here for you. I want to find out the best ways that I can support you!

My name is Dr. Tiffany Darby. I go by Dr. Darby or Dr. D., whichever you are comfortable with calling me. I have over 19 years of mental health service experience. I earned a Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from Kent State University. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervisor Designation, a Licensed School Counselor in the State of Ohio, and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Kentucky and Pennsylvania. Throughout my professional career, I've worked in a variety of settings including, partial-hospitalization, residential, college counseling, outpatient, school and community-based. I've worked mostly with diverse individuals, groups, families, and couples. I work from several perspectives, which include but are not limited to, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy. To stay current with the counseling field, I remain an active member of the American Counseling Association and the Ohio Counseling Association. I have also been a college professor since 2015.

I want to meet you where you are (virtually that is ;) and assist in determining your needs. I look forward to working with you!

Dr. D listens to what I have to say. She asks probing questions and truly makes me think about why certain things make me feel the way they do.

Dr. Darby is a wonderful Therapist. She instantly put me at ease, and I find myself opening up to her about my real issues. She is insightful and cuts right to the heart of the problems. We are early on in the process, but I am confident i found someone to truly help me be the best "Me" I can be.
