About Me

Hi! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Louisiana. I am also a National Certified Counselor. I have seven years of experience as a practicing therapist working in private and public agencies. I have a great deal of experience working with those who are coping with depression, stress and anxiety, grief and loss, and parenting issues. Relationship problems, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, LGBT and gender identity, bipolar, anger management, and career difficulties are also specialties of mine. I am a mother of five children, two of which are step children, and the wife of a plant operator, with twins on the way. I personally know the unique challenges of military life, divorce, blending families, living with depression and anxiety, and many other fun challenges that life throws your way. I feel that it is one to be knowledgeable in mental health with a proper education (which I have) but having the experience of personally dealing with your my own mental health struggles and successfully moving forward, learning how to cope and to live to tell about it, is a help you just cant find any where.

My counseling style is realistic, genuine and solution based. I believe in treating others in the same manner in which I would like to be treated. I believe that if you need an ear I'm here but I'm sure you want a solution and that is what I'm focused on accomplishing with you. I meet clients where they are in life and work from that place. I feel honored when someone shares their personal struggles with me and in turn treat them with the utmost respect. I work very hard to be open-minded and non-judgmental. My approach combines reality based therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. We will work together to create a treatment plan that meets your individual needs and goals.

It is very difficult to take the first step toward feeling better and I applaud you for doing so. When you are ready to take the next step, I would love for us to work together. It would be a privilege to take this personal journey with you. I have day and evening times available. I am available by message, live chat, phone, and video.

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

I like Tracie's style. Laid back and just judgmental enough. I mean this in a good way. What I mean is that Tracie isn't afraid to make a judgement and tell it like it is. I need that. I don't have time to beat around the bush about things and sometimes, she shocks me enough to get me to really think about what I'm doing or saying. I feel like I'm approaching my problems in a better, healthier way. I like that I don't have the pressure of having to go to a brick and mortar location for us to meet. I can text when I need to, when I have a short break from work, the hubby or the kids.

I think Tracie, is kind and compassionate. She really listens and gets what I'm saying. This is my first counseling experience and I'm enjoying it. It's hard for me to ask for help and accept help but Tracie is helping me see that it's ok.

Tracie is a great counselor, full of support and proactive ways to tackle life's issues. She always made me feel comfortable and she is very personable, which is important on an online platform. She also was very attentive, making sure to check back in and see how things were going. Overall I'd recommend Tracie to anyone on BetterHelp

Tracie has helped me immensely. She understands, listens and gives advice and ideas that have changed me in so many amazing ways. The fact that she is not judgmental and open-minded has allowed me to open up in a way I don't think normally could. She is quick to respond and always there. I am so very thankful for all the life changing help she has given and will give! I love her and will recommend her to anyone I know that needs help!
