Dr. Wade Green Jr

(PsyD, LCPC)

About Me

Hello and welcome, my name is Dr. Wade Green Jr. and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Maryland. I have a Master's degree and a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology (PsyD.). I have 18 years experience in the mental health profession and approximately 15 of those years are direct face-to-face services as a therapist. Populations that I work with are adolescents, adults, couples, and the LGBT community. My work experiences include outpatient mental health, emergency psychiatric evaluations, forensic psychology, and as a clinical supervisor. During my career, I have worked with a wide variety of issues including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, relationship issues, ADHD, and grief and loss.

My counseling style is sincere and interactive. I also believe humor is a powerful tool in therapy when used appropriately and responsibly. It can do wonders for changing an outlook of a situation or just elevating someone's mood. I use a client-centered approach which places the emphasis on the client/therapist relationship. However, I am seasoned enough to recognize that every client is different and client growth may require the use of different techniques to meet the needs of the client.

You have taken the first step to change your situation, issue, or your life. Now, allow me to walk beside you to offer support and empowerment.

Dr. Green is excellent! He has fantastic insight and quickly got to the root of some of my issues in a way that none of my previous counselors have. He is gentle and encouraging while also being firm.

Dr. Green began with an opening message that made me feel heard me and that he had a desire to understand my situation. He spends time listening but also gives feedback and I really appreciate that. He never has made me feel foolish for having the thoughts and feelings that I have shared.
