In his clinical experience, he has witnessed the interconnected nature of physical and mental health, so he has also chosen to specialize as a Health Psychologist. Dr. Barker provides evidence-based treatment strategies and methods to assist patients experiencing chronic pain and health issues in their healing process. Specifically, he utilizes mindfulness-based treatment interventions to promote relaxation and reduction of anxiety.

In line with his own spiritual beliefs, Christian counseling is another approach to treatment that allows him to reach and support those members of the Christian community. In his Christian counseling practice, he not only embraces your faith but leverages it throughout the treatment process. Dr. Barker’s treatment modalities include Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral, Adlerian, and Solution Focused Therapy.
