Dr. Bonnie Floyd
Hello! My name is Dr. Bonnie Floyd. I'm a licensed clinical psychologist, with a specialization in health psychology. My expertise is assisting individuals who are diagnosed with chronic illness to live more fulfilling lives. I completed my Ph.D. in Clinical Health Psychology, through a program jointly offered by Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Yeshiva University, Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. I have nearly twenty years of clinical experience, working in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I've had experience in psychological pain management, providing both biofeedback and psychotherapy. For the past fifteen years, I've specialized in working with geriatric patients; I've provided comprehensive neuropsychological assessments, to diagnose forms of dementia. More recently, I've been providing supportive psychotherapy sessions for residents in nursing homes. Last November, I published Remarkable Journey: My Dual Perspectives as Doctor and Patient. Having specialized in coping with chronic illness during my doctoral training, I am now managing chronic conditions of my own. This offers a unique perspective for those who are struggling to adapt to chronic conditions. My theoretical orientation is cognitive-behavioral in nature: I assist clients with the identification of maladaptive patterns of thinking, as well as provide training with the substitution of more adaptive thoughts. Similarly, I assist clients with recognizing when behaviors are no longer useful for their current situations; I provide help with forming new, more adaptive behaviors. I have a longstanding interest in mood disorders, especially major depressive disorder. I would be honored to have the opportunity to work together on your current concerns. I commend individuals for the courage to reach out for professional assistance when necessary.

My goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and better equipped to handle the pressures of everyday life. I specialize in working with men who feel overwhelmed by responsibility, work demands, family roles, or internal pressure to “hold everything together.” Many of the clients I work with are high-functioning on the outside but quietly dealing with stress, burnout, or emotional exhaustion. Together, we focus on building emotional resilience, improving communication, and developing tools that create real, lasting change. I also work with women and adults from all backgrounds who are seeking a structured, supportive space to better understand themselves, strengthen coping skills, and move forward with clarity and intention. As a Certified Financial Social Worker (CFSW), I integrate an understanding of the emotional and psychological impact of money stress, financial decision-making, and life transitions connected to career and stability. Sarah Moyer
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in the State of New York and hold a Masters Degree in Social Work from Stony Brook University. In addition to general counseling, I have worked in substance abuse and mental health counseling for over six years. As a therapist, I prioritize creating a warm and welcoming environment for clients to feel comfortable in the therapeutic process, whatever that looks like for them. I don’t shy away from working outside the box and find creativity to be an asset in meeting clients where they’re at. I am dedicated in helping my clients challenge the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are keeping them from living the life they want to live, while also accepting that which is out of their control. I utilize an eclectic array of therapeutic approaches, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Holistic Therapy. I believe that some of the most successful work in therapy is done when we’re able to pull on tools and techniques from various approaches to create a truly individualized treatment plan. I aim to create a safe space for folks to talk about hard things, so they always know they have somewhere to bring the heaviness that they might carry. I believe that there is nothing more profound than making the decision to show up and put in the work, but I also believe that none of us can do it alone. I hope to be a part of the village that it takes.
