Vinson Lee
Greetings! I'm Vinson Lee. Thanks for visiting my profile. I hold dual licenses as Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor. I returned to graduate school in 2011 following a career in broadcasting where I worked as a radio deejay beginning at the age of 15 and later as a television anchor/reporter. I even served as a substitute teacher where my talents connecting with others were noticed by administration and staff. One of the most frequent responses I received was "you're so easy to talk to." I loved working in television - spending a day with others and telling their stories, but I had a passion to do more meaningful work to contribute positively to the betterment of society. Counseling and therapy afford me that opportunity - to observe change over time as we work together identifying and pursuing goals, empowering you to be the best possible version of yourself. I look forward to getting to know you!

Throughout my life, I have recognized possibilities in all kinds of situations. My extensive career has focused on helping people realize their own possibilities, through counseling, coaching and training. You are likely seeking counseling at this time because you are having difficulty recognizing and realizing possible solutions to an issue in your life, and I would like to help. I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Georgia, with over thirty years of experience in providing counseling and consultation with people in all walks of life to manage stress, anxiety and depression, grief and aging concerns, parenting issues, and personal coaching. For over ten years, I provided counseling and support services for medical students, doctors, and other high-stress healthcare professionals. I warmly welcome people of different ages, races, cultures, spiritual beliefs, sexual orientation, and gender identity. I believe that you have the capacity to create your own solutions when given the tools, training, and support to do so. To that end, we may choose to incorporate such creative avenues as art, writing, music, humor, and reading, to assist you in finding your answers. My person-centered, solution focused approach to counseling means that we work and celebrate together as you find the solutions that work best for you.

Have there been times in your life when you have wondered if you have made the right choices or if there are other possibilities for you? We have all experienced life changing experiences that have shaped us into the people we are today. Sometimes, a listening ear is all we need. Other times, more in-depth exploration of thoughts and feelings is needed before you can feel better. Whichever situation fits for you, I am here to help. I have been in practice for over 20 years and have had experience working with a diverse group of individuals, couples, and families. Together, we have explored trauma events and their impact on individuals and families, family relationships, couples’ issues, and depression, anxiety, infidelity, spiritual dilemmas, and other experiences that have an effect on day-to-day living. My experience extends to adults of all ages, including an older population and caregivers. I am open to working with couples who are experiencing issues, particularly in the area of communication. Working with individuals who are in the early stages of dementia or Alzheimer's Disease are a new and interesting population for me. For me, counseling is a passion.
