Lauren Dicair
Hi! My name is Lauren. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Psychotherapist. At times, life can feel overwhelming, leaving you stressed, uncertain, or disconnected without fully understanding why. You may not even be aware of the deeper patterns in your thoughts, behaviors, or ways of coping that contribute to these feelings. Therapy can provide the space to explore these experiences, uncover what may be holding you back, and help you find a clearer, more peaceful path forward. Together, we’ll work to identify new perspectives and strategies that allow you to feel more aligned with your true self, empowering you to live a life that is more balanced, fulfilling, and authentic. I offer a warm, direct, and interactive approach to therapy, supporting adults through various challenges, including: Adult Children of Addicts, long-distance relationships, grief and loss, life transitions, existential crises, the emotional impacts of chronic illness, and immigration and acculturation. It takes courage to seek support from a therapist to begin or continue addressing the challenges that keep you from living a happier life. Congratulations on achieving the first step of your journey to health. I look forward to working with you! :)

Welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania with over 19 years of diverse experience in outpatient therapy with people ranging from age 3 to 86. After graduating from Chestnut Hill College in April of 2001, I quickly became experienced in trauma counseling by working with survivors and the victims' families of the September 11th terrorist attacks. Over the course of the last nineteen years I have pursued further training in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and I am a trained member of the Lehigh County "Flight Team" which is a team that travels to county school districts to work with students and staff that have experienced a crisis. In addition, to outpatient therapy, I am a high school school counselor. This position has provided me with opportunities to create programs that support students' mental health concerns, as well as, programs to support parents. Approaches include cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, psychodynamic and rational-emotive strategies that will be tailor made to your needs. In addition to trauma, I have worked with clients on the following: Generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, life changes, parenting issues, body image, divorce, bipolar disorder, depression, work place bullying, self-esteem, empty nest syndrome, phobias, and sexual identity issues. I am a warm, open-minded, non-judgemental, and interactive therapist that believes that a sense of humor is vital in counseling. Welcome! I honor your interest in seeking out a therapist to work with and hope to provide some information here to help guide your choice. I am a Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania. I have over eight years in working as a therapist with past experience in community mental health supporting children, adolescents, and adults through a range of concerns including mood and thought disorders, adjustments to life changes, difficult choices, challenges in relationships, and traumatic life events and related stress. My approach to therapy is grounded in my eclectic training and informed by a thoughtful application of theories and interventions that can support your wellbeing and self-expression. I believe that the first step to therapy is offering a supportive relationship that can help you find security in the present moment and from there offering you opportunities for increasing self-awareness, helping you understand yourself and how your choices can affect your health and relationships, and providing the space for you to address what you need to in therapy to grow and heal. I received my Masters in Art Therapy and Counseling from Drexel College of Nursing and Health Professions in 2015 and have stayed active in seeking additional education and training, including a three year Gestalt training program completed in 2021.
