I was not one to follow any traditional path to anything- much less to counseling. I grew up in rebellious times and quickly decided I was a non-conformist. But what exactly did that mean-in theory or practice? It's taken me a lifetime to find out with lots of detours along the way. This is now known mostly as 'lived experience'.
